What sets the fishbone aside from other cactus is that this one does not need as much sunlight as most others. Surprisingly, it does well without direct sunlight and in humid conditions.
Also referred to as zig zag cactus, ricrac cactus and orchid cactus, all these names refer to the unique pattern of the leaves that resemble a fish skeleton.
Native to Mexico, fishbone cactus are climbing plants with stems that grow attached to the trunks of trees.
Lighting: Indirect sunlight. Tolerates direct sun.
Watering: Appreciates regular watering, but soils needs to dry out in between.
Best spot: prefers living in bright locations.
