Peace Lilies are back in season! These easy to care plants are a popular choice for offices and homes due to its low care and light requirements.
It got the name from the white flowers that symbolize peace, hope, prosperity and sympathy. Peace Lilies originally came from tropical rainforests of Colombia and Venezuela, but have become popular all over South and North America.
Lighting: Low to bright, indirect sunlight.
Watering: Frequent. Peace Lilies like to be watered a lot at once, as long as you let the soil dry out after that.
Temperature: it prefers a warm environment. But make sure it is away from heating vents (or air-conditioning).
Best spot: Indoors. Does well in low light spots.
Pet Friendly? No.
Child Friendly? No. It contains calcium oxalate which can irritate the digestive system.
Pro Tip: Peace Lilies will droop when thirsty, so keep an eye on the leaves as they will tell you when the plant needs more water. They also like humidity, misting or a humidifier will keep them happy.
