The Swiss Cheese (Monstera adansonii) gets the popular name from the heart-shaped leaves that develop Swiss cheese like holes as is grows.
Native to tropical forests of Mexico and Panama, it loves to climb onto trees or woody vines. Aerial roots develop from the plant stems as a way of attaching itself to any available support.
Lighting: loves bright, indirect sun.
Watering: prefers moist but not soggy soil.
Temperature: it prefers a warm environment. But make sure it is away from heating vents (or air-conditioning).
